Who takes care of safety at your site?

Safety on a construction site requires expertise, planning and constant monitoring. The safety coordinator ensures that the safety obligations of the developer are met and that safety at work is carried out as planned at all stages of the project.

Protect's experienced safety coordinators ensure that all legal requirements are met and that the site can be worked on safely, efficiently and with confidence.

When is a safety cork mask needed?

A construction project that requires a permit from the authorities also needs a qualified safety coordinator. This obligation is based on the Construction Safety Regulation (VNa 205/2009), which requires the developer to appoint a safety coordinator appropriate to the complexity of the project.

Even if a permit is not required, but the work involves specific risks - for example, asbestos work where the worker may be exposed to harmful substances - the use of a safety coordinator is highly recommended for safety at work.

Benefits for the construction site safety manager

Safe construction site and accident prevention

Proactive safety planning, clear communication and active HSE monitoring reduce accident risks and improve safety levels.

Compliance with regulations and the Construction Safety Regulation

We ensure that the site complies with the Construction Safety Regulation (VNa 205/2009) and other legal requirements - documentation and supervision are in place.

A competent partner who is active on site

The Safety Coordinator is genuinely involved on site - supervising, guiding and supporting the implementation throughout the project, not just in name only.

What does a safety coordinator do on site?

The safety coordinator works closely with the developer, designers, contractors and the main contractor. His role is to ensure that the developer's safety obligations are met at every stage of the project.

Key tasks include:

  • Preparation and maintenance of the safety document and other documents
  • Review and approval of safety plans
  • Site induction and safety supervision on construction sites
  • Handling of findings and anomalies
  • ensuring cooperation between the different parties involved in the project on safety at work issues
  • Participation in site meetings

PRO24 system improves site safety management

The safety coordinator's work is supported by the PRO24 HSEQ system developed by Protect, which brings efficiency and ease to the management of safety on the construction site. The system brings together all key safety documents, control reports and incident reports, facilitating both documentation and communication between the different parties involved in the project.

PRO24 can be used to manage, for example, site safety observations, incident handling and induction data. The system can also be used to build customer-specific tools, such as reporting forms and follow-up reports, to support the safety coordinator's practical work on the site.

Using PRO24 in conjunction with an expert safety coordinator ensures that safety work is documented, transparent and controlled - throughout the project.

Safe handling of chemicals

Safe handling of chemicals is not a single measure, but a whole set of measures based on clear responsibilities, proactive risk management, and everyday practical choices. When chemicals are known, exposure is systematically assessed, and control measures are in place, health risks can be kept under control both at work and during leisure time.
