Domestic HSEQ service provider maintains its rating at the forefront of occupational safety - Protect retains its Zero Accident Forum rating

The Zero Accidents Forum is a voluntary network of Finnish workplaces that aims to continuously promote safety at work and disseminate good practices. The Zero Accident Forum comprises nearly 500 workplaces and the criteria for the level classification have been created in cooperation with the member workplaces. The ranking is influenced by factors such as the frequency and severity of accidents in the workplace. It also requires that the investigation of accidents at work and the reporting of incidents are in order.

Protect aims to be the best place to work in Finland, and our investments in occupational safety support this goal. Business Director Miia Laakso is delighted with the recognition for her long-term work in occupational safety.

- We continuously improve the working environment and conditions so that our staff can focus and succeed in their work. Our employees are our most important stakeholders," he says.

Identifying and managing risks to ensure smooth and seamless operations

Safety management at Protect consists of clear processes and working models, which are integrated into the management system. The PRO24 system, developed by the company itself, is used for management, providing a clear overview and including the necessary HSEQ tools. The development measures taken are based on careful hazard identification and risk assessment.

All staff are committed to working safely. At Protect, safety competence is above average, as safety at work is a core competence of the company.

- Our employees are highly motivated to work in safety and they want to take care of themselves and others," Miia continues.

safety will continue to be developed in the future

In April 2022, Protect was awarded the Zero Accident Forum's Level I rating for the fourth consecutive year. Safety at work is as much a part of responsible daily operations as quality.

- Our aim is to use continuous improvement approaches to identify areas for improvement and to work together to make the workplace safer. A lot has been done, but we're not there yet," laughs Saija Pottala, HSEQ Manager.

Saija says that as part of the company's continuous improvement approach, processes will be made even smoother.

- In future, we will focus on identifying psychosocial stress factors and cognitive stress in particular," he adds.
