HalpaHalli is a family-owned company that is over 50 years old and offers a wide range of products from groceries and food to clothing, home accessories and sports equipment. The store chain serves its customers in 35 brick-and-mortar stores around Finland, but products can also be ordered online. A new era of occupational safety with PRO24
HalpaHall's logistics centre in Kokkola had been using Protect's PRO24 system for several years. In 2022, following an occupational safety consultation by Protect's expert, it was decided to extend the use of the system to the company's other operations as part of an internal development project to strengthen occupational safety and improve the efficiency of occupational safety processes.

In addition to these, work risk assessments and safety rounds were also introduced as part of the stores' health and safety processes. Two desktops were created in PRO24, one for health and safety managers and health and safety representatives and one for workers. The system has given greater visibility to the health and safety processes, which has improved the health and safety culture throughout the company.

The emergency plan, which is updated in one place and in one location, also ensures that all the necessary information is available to everyone quickly and easily. " The emergency plan implemented in the system has also received praise from the rescue authorities," Kontio adds.
