Protect

Code of ethics

Our policy

Responsible business requires choices and decisions that everyone is willing and able to live with. Above all, responsible choices are active decisions that weigh up a commitment to our company's values and ethical practices. Sometimes choices are difficult, but it is important to recognise that not choosing is also a conscious decision.

Prevention and ethical practices must be embedded in practice in a way that is easy to understand. Therefore, all parties involved need to understand how things are done and why. When a company's activities are controlled and systematic, they have a direct impact on the well-being of individuals and the business performance.

Our Code of Ethics guides us to act more responsibly in our everyday decisions. It also builds transparency and trust among our work community, customers and partners.

Protect works to protect people's well-being, business and the environment - by preventing accidents

Protect's basic mission is to prevent accidents. This means safeguarding people's well-being, business and the environment. When these three elements are under control, accidents and incidents can be prevented.

We work with our customers to design safety and quality solutions that truly benefit them. In our own operations, we live by what we teach and strongly believe that safety, quality and responsibility come from everyday actions and choices.

The Code of Ethics sets out our policy on the kind of behaviour we encourage and the kind of behaviour we do not tolerate. The Code of Ethics is part of the process of creating a common understanding - ensuring proactive compliance with the law and the ethical considerations that are important to us in all our activities. The Code of Ethics is part of our management system, which has been awarded ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.

Together, we take responsibility for the health, safety and well-being of our work community.

Environment

Environment

Larger
environmental damage footprint

We create an environmental footprint by working with our customers to implement environmentally friendly solutions. We also encourage our stakeholders to review and improve their own environmental performance. We expect our partners to act in an environmentally sustainable way.

For our workers, this means:

- Where possible, we promote the sustainable use of natural resources by our customers and partners.

- We also present the environmental risks and opportunities to customers in a fair and clear way.

Environment

A smaller environmental footprint

We reduce our environmental footprint by managing environmental risks and pressures in our operational processes. We minimise the consumption of limited resources in our own operations and purchase only when needed. We only make purchases that meet our sustainability criteria.

For our workers, this means:

- We identify environmental aspects of our activities that we can influence through our actions. We integrate environmental considerations into our daily work, making the most sustainable choices possible.

- We encourage our staff to come up with ideas on how we can continuously improve the environmental performance of our own operations.

"We only make purchases that meet our sustainability criteria."
