Ville Pesola as HSEQ Coordinator at Protect

Ville Pesola joined Protect at the beginning of May as HSEQ Coordinator. He is about to graduate with a Master's degree in Business Administration, majoring in Responsible Business, and has already spent a year getting to know Protecti as a thesis sponsor. Ville's expertise is strongly related to ethical business management, measurement and reporting. He holds a bachelor's degree in business management and a minor in accounting.

- Thinking about sustainability and responsibility is almost a hobby for me, and I have a strong motivation for it. In my personal life, I also have to think about sustainability and the ethics of my choices. I see many similarities in the responsible behaviour of companies and individuals. Each of us makes decisions and choices every day that reflect our own values and values. Sometimes the choices are difficult, and that is when we weigh up our commitment to responsible and ethical practices," Ville says.

The image of Protect as a company deepened during the research and writing process of the thesis. This involved a large number of discussions and interviews, which formed the basis for building a picture of the current state of corporate responsibility management in the company. The open, honest, inclusive and supportive organisational culture was a decisive factor," he says, adding that the future employer's value choices and commitment to sustainability were also strong factors. Ville also appreciates the opportunities to grow and develop at Protecti. "At Protecti, my own expertise in quality and safety management is enriched and in return, I will bring fresh information on responsible business development. My aim is to communicate responsibility clearly, without platitudes and doctrine. This fits in well with Protect's principles of rolling safety and quality management from strategic choices to a visible part of everyday operations.
