Toni Ylitalo as Safety and Quality Specialist

Of the three new safety and quality experts who started in March, we now introduce Toni Ylitalo. During his career, Toni has worked as a safety engineer and safety coordinator in heavy industry. Most recently, he worked as a supervisor in the manufacturing industry. Now he is returning as a safety culture developer. - As a foreman, I gained good experience in management, but I found myself longing for a return to safety work. Working at Protect is a return to what feels like home," says Toni, describing his feelings about his new job. At work, Toni is motivated by projects with clear objectives. His core competencies are fire safety, machine safety, chemical safety and occupational health and safety. "Protect's values are in line with my own, which makes it easy to do my job. I am committed to a preventive safety culture. If I can prevent accidents or incidents through my work, I have succeeded in my job," he continues.

Toni was familiar with Protect as a company and says he has followed the development of Protect's services from a stakeholder perspective. However, something surprising has come up during the induction phase. - I expected that customer projects would be mainly about fire safety development. I was surprised to see the diversity of expertise in quality management and HRD. I have noticed that at Protect the services are generally aimed at developing a safety culture, Toni sums up his thoughts after the first two weeks of induction.
