Entrepreneurs of Kokkola and the City of Kokkola have selected the following as Entrepreneur of the Year 2018

Managing Director Pertti Salo. SK Protect Oy's growth to become the country's leading player in its field has been controlled and determined. SK Protect Oy is also commended for its strong development approach: one third of its turnover of around two million euros is spent on developing its operations, and the company has been involved in several development projects and Tekes projects. SK Protect Oy currently employs 18 full-time and a dozen part-time experts. The company has offices in Helsinki, Pietarsaari, Kokkola and Tampere, but customers can be found all over Finland: from Helsinki to the west coast to Eastern Finland. Customers also include several large Finnish organisations. The recognition is not the first for SK Protect Oy. In 2011, the company was awarded the INNOSUOMI 2011 prize by the President of the Republic and in 2016, it was the turn of the Chamber of Commerce to receive the Digiloikkaprize. When an award goes from one entrepreneur to another, Salo always thinks it's a great thing. - I started my career in government, but when I was at the rescue college, I already had a sales and entrepreneurial spirit. Maybe that's something that's always been in my blood. My appreciation for other entrepreneurs makes this award worth a lot more. The recognition is also significant for the entire staff of SK Protect Ltd and thanks are due to all our employees.
