SK Protect Oy has acquired the entire share capital of Suomen Työsuojelutalo Oy
Protect has acquired the entire share capital of Suomen Työsuojelutalo Oy on 31.12.2019.At the same time, Pia Marttila, the former owner of Suomen Työsuojelutalo Oy, will join Protect in an expert position. The transaction will strengthen Protect s expertise in occupational safety and health training services throughout Finland.
Integrated training as a cornerstone of quality and safety for businesses and communities
Protect's acquisition of Suomen Työsuojelutalo Oy is the starting point for the launch of Protect's systematic quality and safety training services. The training base will be scaled up from the already existing health and safety training packages to cover Protect's other areas of expertise. The training packages will consist of a basic section based on up-to-date knowledge, incorporating the specific needs of each company on the subject. Pertti Salo, Protect's Managing Director, says there is a need for consistent and regular training in companies. Monitoring changes in legislation, putting things into practice and developing the overall approach requires time and expertise, and companies themselves often do not have these resources. In addition, changing staff poses its own challenges for workplaces in terms of updating information. -The training packages of the Finnish Occupational Safety and Health Agency are an excellent basis for growing and developing our operations. In addition, Protect's safety and quality services allow us to bring new perspectives and positive development to the healthcare sector, where Suomen Työsuojelutalo already has a solid customer base," Salo says.
The company's own practices in the spotlight also in occupational health and safety
It is important to Protect that skills development takes place in a positive atmosphere. By listening to people and developing through this, we can create concrete practices that promote safety and health, that are meaningful to all and easy to commit to. Practical approaches and clearly defined areas of responsibility provide a solid foundation for occupational safety and health activities that also work in practice. -The training activities of the Finnish House of Occupational Safety and Health are based on the same approaches as those used at Protect: practical approaches. The training focuses on the everyday life and situations of the client company in question. The challenge of occupational safety and health is often that people do not know what is expected of them. Once the instructions, objectives and what to do are clear, things start to happen. Measures agreed and taken together form a workable whole and progress is made.
