Riikka Pelkonen as Safety and Quality Specialist at Protect

In September, Protect recruited two people to strengthen the expert team in Northern Finland and the sales team. Riikka Pelkonen from Kaustis joined the Kokkola office as a safety and quality specialist.

Riikka has about 10 years of experience in food industry development. In her most recent position, she worked as a development manager responsible for food safety, quality, occupational safety, environmental issues and product development. "It was time to look at something new," Riikka laughs, adding that she was looking for a change of pace and a community of people working in the same field. "My specialties are food safety and quality work. My extensive experience as a development manager gives me a good basis for success and development as a safety and quality expert. Now I want to apply my skills not only in the food sector but also in other sectors.
