Jeremia Koistinen joins Protect as Safety and Quality Specialist

  Jeremia Koistinen, an environmental technology engineer, has started at Protect as a safety and quality specialist at the beginning of November. Before joining Protect, he worked in the construction industry as a quality expert and quality manager and previously in the paper industry as an environmental and quality engineer. Jeremiah was intrigued by Protect's job advertisement and the ad gave him a good impression of the company. - I was impressed by the fact that Protect developing not only its own operations but also the skills of its experts. I like to serve and I like working with clients. So a varied specialist role with an industrial service provider made me apply," he says. While studying environmental engineering, Jeremiah also took courses in industrial maintenance and environmental risk assessment. He is interested in the holistic development of HSEQ activities. "My best skills are in managing the HSEQ framework, including process development and ensuring that processes are working as intended. In general, quality work is my core competence. I also have skills in chemical safety and environmental management," says Jeremiah. As an environmental and quality engineer, Jeremiah gained experience in areas such as environmental reporting and quality assurance. As Quality Manager, he was responsible for the maintenance and development of an ISO 9001 certified management system and construction quality systems. He has also worked in the field of sustainable development, seeking solutions to achieve carbon neutrality in the company, minimising waste and recycling materials. For his future at Protect, Jeremiah looks forward to contributing to the HSEQ development of industrial companies. "It would be great to one day see that he has led companies in sustainable development in his own work," he reflects.
