A. Häggblom
Expert services to help develop quality and safety work

From A. Häggblom Oy serves the heavy equipment industry by producing spare parts, wear plates and crawler solutions for earthmoving and mining equipment. Häggblom currently operates in Kokkola and Espoo. There are also operations in Sweden.

    - At the moment we have about 120 employees, most of whom are in production, says Jukka Karhula, Managing Director.

From business management to expert services

The collaboration between Protect and Häggblom started when Häggblom adopted Protect's PRO24 system. Since then, the cooperation has been intensified by the outsourcing of a safety manager and quality manager service from Protect.

Karhula describes the cooperation as working well.

    - Sometimes it feels as if they are Häggblom's own employees, and this is one of the cornerstones of cooperation. Communication has to work well. We must not get the feeling that they are not aware of what is going on," says Karhula.

Many heads are wiser than one

According to Karhula, the benefits to Häggblom from the cooperation are particularly evident in the fact that Protect has a lot of professionals and expertise in their background. This is reflected in the fact that the expert serving them has a wide range of other experts in his or her background, who can be called upon to help if necessary.

Another key benefit is that Protect has done the same work in other companies, and the good practices that have been accumulated in different industries are also available to Häggblom.

Expert services to complement the company's own resources

Karhula recommends Protect's expert services especially to companies where quality and safety work is identified as an essential part.

    - For companies of this size that do not have sufficient resources to develop quality and safety work, this kind of expert service cooperation works particularly well," concludes Karhula.
