Backman-Trummer
- acquired the PRO24 system for the group
The Backman-Trummer group, which is active in international transport, ports and industrial logistics, has acquired PRO24 for all eight companies in the group. The companies have a total of 22 sites.
The pilot company in the Backman-Trummer group has been Oy M. Rauanheimo Ab. There, PRO24 is used in line with Protect's extended service package, not only for safety but also for the entire operational system. Following a cooperation agreement between Protect and Backman-Trummer, the system has now been rolled out to the group's companies.
Hannu Uusi-Pohjola, Group President of Backman-Trummer and Head of the KWH Logistics Business Group, says that what attracted him to PRO24 was the visual and practical nature of the system.
-"We needed to find a platform like PRO24 on top of M-Files, which uses desktop buttons to tell you very concretely what to do in each situation, and in this way creates a better structure for management systems," says Uusi-Pohjola.

In addition to serving as a management tool at Backman-Trummer, PRO24 helps to harmonise operations across the group and develop a culture of safety and quality.
-The system will be used by all staff. It will be easy for employees to record, for example, near misses and other observations. In addition, the system will have an information channel on the side, which can be used to communicate on a wide range of general issues," says Uusi-Pohjola.
Digital solutions bring convenience
For Protect, the Backman-Trummer partnership offers the opportunity to build a new service package for a large international group.
-We are grateful for the cooperation with Rauanheimo. As a result, we will be able to bring the benefits of PRO24 to the Group's core operations and to the daily work of all staff," say Protect's CEO Pertti Salo and Business Director Miia Laakso.
Protect invests heavily in digital solutions that make information easily accessible in an increasingly mobile workplace. With Backman-Trummer, for example, each personnel group can access a view in the operating system that contains the information they need," Salo continues.
Backman-Trummer has offices on the Finnish coast in Hamina, Kotka, Helsinki, Hanko, Turku, Naantali, Uusikaupunki, Kristiinankaupunki, Vaasa, Pietarsaari, Kokkola and Kalajoki. Inland, the group has offices in Äänekoski, Jyväskylä and Varkaus.
