Risk management is an important part of the overall development of the management system
When you want to develop a management system holistically, you look at it from many angles. Careful assessment of risks and opportunities is one part of this work. When risks and opportunities to personal safety, property, business or the environment are carefully identified, they provide a good basis for holistic development. When quality and safety aspects are embedded in the management system, work is steered in the right direction from the outset, accountability is facilitated and work becomes more straightforward and productive.
Protect maps risks individually from the client's perspective
Risk management in companies and communities is intended to have a positive impact on the achievement of company objectives in both the short and long term.
Protect has had several client projects in the analysis, practical measures and implementation of management system risk management in different sectors. Each project has resulted in better refined ideas for the benefit of clients. We do not even want to offer ready-made projects, because each project is unique and is always looked at from a new perspective. They want to involve the customer in an active role, because they are the experts in their own business.
Information from the analysis is used to support decision making
Anita Trenn is a quality and safety expert at Protect. She has been working with risk assessment since before she joined Protect. In risk assessment, Trenn places a strong emphasis on the customer's perspective and their business.
-It is essential that all data from risk assessments or notifications is used to filter the information into the right format and to feed it into decision making. Once the customer has access to the data, insights start to emerge from their side. Factual data can be used to address grievances and also to find new opportunities. Our role is to give customers the tools, support them in using them and guide them to the right course of action," says Trenn.
Risk assessment is not about limiting and rationing, but in the best case it brings savings through reduced accidents and more efficient operations. On a well-organised site, scheduling works and everyone knows when and where the work will be done. Wasteful waiting is reduced and efficiency is increased. The overall objective is that risk management supports the company's growth and strategic objectives.
Trenn's latest project is related to the overall development of the company's operations, where the client has decision-making power on a shared site. At the same time, employees from different employers or independent contractors work on a joint site on a subcontracting basis, which poses challenges in managing work permits, notifications and scheduling of work. As a solution, Protect has created processes and tools that are tailored to the client's environment.
PRO24 ERP supports continuous improvement in different working environments
The right management of information can play a major role in the development of a company. The PRO24 ERP system is not intended to be a mere repository, but to actively support a constantly evolving business environment.
-When work permits are documented and the reporting process is smooth, the reports can be easily examined and later calculated to see how smooth and cost-effective the work was. This is not only a financial saving, but systematic management of the whole process also saves human capital and reduces stress for both workers and managers.
The PRO24 ERP system can be used for one area only, but can be easily customised for company-wide management and communication. In this case, for example, all deviation notifications and permit applications are handled in one place.
