Markus Konu - Solution-oriented security expert

Markus joined Protect less than a year and a half ago, but has already had an impact on several customer projects. He is a chemical engineer by training and has gained experience in technical documentation, quality management and occupational health and safety. He also has a strong background in environmental requirements in the electronics sector and a long career of 20 years as a restaurant and kitchen manager.

Markus applied to Protect because of the variety of the work. His current responsibilities include in particular explosion protection documentation and rescue plans, but also machine safety, risk management and quality projects. Using CAD software, he draws up site classification, safety and target map drawings, among other things.

Markus describes himself as analytical, precise and solution-oriented. He is particularly interested in developing safety and compliance in a practical way. In his work, he enjoys working with different people and solving practical challenges.

In his free time, Markus enjoys a wide range of activities - swimming, cycling and golf are among his hobbies. He sees the significance of his work in particular in the fact that Protect's expert work can genuinely improve safety and support customers. He cites successful projects and positive feedback from customers as the best moments.
